Money Order Service

People living in German speaking countries can order Money Orders and Stamps for their pen pals from us.

Money Orders

Money Orders are common means of payment in the USA. They can be compared to a crossed check, except that the amount is not debited from the account, but paid in cash beforehand.

In the USA, you can buy Money Orders at any post office, for any amount you want.

Until the Money Order is filled out, it is basically cash. Then, once you have filled it out and entered a recipient, only that recipient can cash the Money Order – so a filled Money Order is as safe as a crossed check with us.

In order to use Money Orders to send money to prisoners in the USA, one must know the specific regulations of the respective state.

JPay

As an alternative to MONEY ORDERS, we recommend using JPay (www.jpay.com) – JPay is a reliable and fast way to send money over the Internet to prisoners in certain U.S. states.

All that is needed is the name and number of the prisoner and a credit card. Feel free to send questions about JPay to .

JPay transfers money to prisoners in the following U.S. states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia – more are coming, so check the JPay website for current status.

Stamps

In some states, you are allowed to send stamps to pen pals. According to our information, this is allowed in Alabama, Florida (max. 20 per letter or 10 stamped envelopes) and California (max. 40 per letter).

Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington do not allow stamps to be mailed.

From some states we lack the information in this regard – therefore best to ask the pen pal! (Further information gladly to !)

Forever Stamps and Global Forever Stamps

Forever Stamps are intended for normal letters within the USA. They remain valid with changes in postage. The Global Forever Stamps are stamps for international shipping that also retain their value when postage changes.
